Caring for maternity patients with substance use disorder (SUD) without stigma can be challenging, especially for those unaware of their own bias. This activity will discuss best practices for screening for SUD, discussing Family Care Plans and secure storage of medication, and other resources within Connecticut without stigma.
Learning Objectives:
• Discuss best practices, for the interprofessional care team, for screening for substance use disorder without stigma.
• Explain ways to develop Family Care Plans in partnership with maternity patients.
• Describe the Substance Exposed Pregnancy Initiative of Connecticut (SEPI-CT) and its resources.
